A pan-European university consortium, led by the Salford Business School at the University of Salford (UK), is tackling the digital skills gap with the launch of a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) “Digital and Social Media Marketing“. The course is designed to allow individuals and businesses to analyse, plan, execute and evaluate digital marketing activities.
The digital industry in Europe alone grew by 11.8% in 2014 and, in the same year, digital advertising revenues became the second largest advertising spend in Europe behind TV. The challenge of how to keep up with this constantly growing and ever-evolving industry can be a daunting prospect for both business and individuals alike.
